PNWORCA summer series
Possible club participation if there is interest.
An all club event full of Ohana (family), fun races, and packed full of Cheer! Fun races start at Nichols. And a Potluck, open BBQ, BYOB & a lawn chair. If you are bringing a guest, please have them fill out the waivers online.
5 and 10 mile courses. A challenging distance race for novices but appropriate for those who have raced early season. Good training for the Gorge Challenge race in July.
Long distance race for experienced paddlers only. Expect a fun challenge with Gorge waves and high winds likely. The course is set to be a downwind course. The women and mixed teams will start in Stevenson, finish in Drano. The men will take the canoes from Drano to Bingen. More Gorge race info here
This 12 mile iron course circles Blake Island from the beach off Alki Beach. This is an opportunity to paddle from sand and in salt water.
There is also a Juniors & Novice Course and events for OC-1, OC-2, Surfski, and SUP - 4 miles.

This could be the club's first changeout race. A 27 mile, 9-man team with boat support from Sand Point Beach Park around Mercer Island and back. A great practice for those going to the Catalina Crossing in September.
Or an 18 mile Iron/beach changeout. 18 mile course is a beach/land changeout course for paddlers not comfortable doing water changes. (no escort boat needed)
